SBMPC was founded by Fr. Patrick Kelly of the Scarborough Fathers from Canada with their motto "Saving Souls the Coop Way" in 1966. The cooperative was registered with the Cooperative Agricultural Office (CAO) as San Isidro Parish Credit Union (SIPCU) with 25 members and a fixed deposit of ₱7,628.00.
On May 30, 1975, SBMPC was registered with Bureau of Agricultural Cooperative Development (BACOD) as San Isidro Parish Credit Cooperative Inc. (SIPCCI). On April 11, 1991, SBMPC was finally registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) as San Isidro Parish Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SIPMPC) with a CDA registration number 9520-08000784 and a Cooperative Identification Number (CIN) of 0106080114.
After 50 years of existence, on June 25, 2016 marked the change of cooperative's name to Saint Bernard Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
As of March 2025, SBMPC continues to grow and serve our community with excellence.
